A pre-fold is a layered cloth nappy, stitched into three long sections. The centre section is layered especially thick, to maximise absorbency where it is needed most. A pre-fold can be folded to fit even the smallest baby, and can be used with practically any nappy cover or pocket nappy shell.

In general, the classic trifold should do the trick. But for the adventurous among you, we have included a range of other fold types. You’ll be an expert in nappy origami in no time!
The tried and tested trifold can be used on just about any baby. Just use the seams on your pre-fold as a guide, and place inside the cover. Easy!
Alternatively, by ignoring the seams, and folding into thirds widthways you can create a shorter pad that maximises absorbency in the centre. Perfect for baby girls.
This fold provides good all-round absorbency and containment, and is the easiest fold to use with a Snappi® nappy fastener. A perfect fold to use on hot summer days, when you want to go without a cover!
This clever variation on the angel fold can be used to size down a too-large prefold, or to provide more absorbency up front for little boys (by folding down the front), or more protection in the stern (by folding down the back).
The perfect fold for maximum containment! The rolled edges function as an effective barrier. We would recommend this fold to parents of newborns and babies that are exclusively breastfeeding in particular. Trust us! 
The twist in the centre maximises absorbency in the centre for little girls, and can be used to improve the fit of the nappy on a baby with fuller legs.
WHY COTTON PRE-FOLDS?
Little Beach Bums uses pre-fold nappies made entirely of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified* organic cotton. They are better for your baby than nappies partially or wholly made of synthetic materials because they breathe better, fit better, and are manufactured without the use of harmful chemicals. They are also better for the environment because cotton can be recycled and biodegrades at the end of its useful life.
